Madison HIgh School runningback and kick returner Dominic Knicely, No. 1, had a highly-productive first half, as did the Warhawks' offense, in a 37-7 road win over the Robinson Rams.

Starting with the opening kickoff and continuing through the first half, Dominic Knicely made one big play after another as a runningback and kick returner to lead the visiting Madison Warhawks to an early big lead and eventual 37-7 rout of the Robinson Rams in a non-district high-school football game.

In the first half, the Madison Warhawks senior returned that opening kickoff 62 yards to set up his 26-yard touchdown catch from Cael Yates, he scored a second TD on a 30-yard tackle-breaking run after taking a lateral, and rushed for 75 yards and caught two passes for 62 total.

Knicely, who will play in college at Coastal Carolina University, helped 3-0 Madison to a 31-0 halftime lead. He basically did not play in the second half.

Yates ran for two first-half scores of six yards, then a 41-yard scramble, and Julian Hopewell booted a 27-yard field goal and a four extra points.

In the second half for Madison, Harry Lewis caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Rowan and Hopewell converted.

Yates was 6 of 10 passing for 172 yards and he ran for 51, with Lewis having two catches and Jay Pendry one for 26. Matthew Weiler had 29 yards rushing.

Madison had 313 total yards and held Robinson to 187.

Tackling leaders for Madison were Graham Gorkowski, Matthew Vojta, T.J. George, Otis Casey, Alex Gates, Jack Ambruzs and Luke Salvoso with a sack. George and Charlie Backman recovered fumbles.
