The Virginia Dream FC won two men's soccer championships in recent days.

The Virginia Dream FC soccer team, on the heels of becoming the United Premier Soccer League’s DMV South Conference playoff champions, also won another recent title.

The Dream, based in Falls Church, defeated the host Annapolis Blues, 2-0, to win the men’s National Premier Soccer League’s Mid-Atlantic Conference crown. The win came after the Dream earned a 3-2 comeback victory over Alexandria Reds Pro in a semifinal match.

In the title match, Harri Hawkins scored in the first half and Anthony Diaz in the second. Bill Hamid earned the shutout in goal.

In the semifinals, the Dream trailed by two goals in a rain-delayed first half against Alexandria, before scoring three goals in a row in the second half.

The first was scored by Angel Chavez. Mike Akinkoye netted the second off a corner kick by Roshawn Panton.

Panton then scored the eventual game-winner off a pass from R.J. Fuentes.

Hamid made multiple saves in the victory.
