McLean falls to Chantilly for first loss of the football season

The McLean Highlanders (2-1) lost to the host Chantilly Chargers, 28-13, in non-district high-school football action Sept. 13.

McLean had 299 total yards in the loss.

McLean quarterback Christian McNeill threw for 161 yards and a touchdown and he ran for 55 yards. Noah Jander rushed for 43 yards. Aidan Reid caught four passes for 89 yards and Sebastian Carmenates four for 49.

McLean led 6-0 at the end of the first quarter, then Chantilly (3-0) scored the next 21 points.

McLean hosts the 0-2 Edison Eagles on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in another non-district game.
