Fairfax County Public Schools has been honored by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education.”
Now in its 25th year, the designation is awarded to districts that show exceptional dedication to providing access to music education to all students. Districts are evaluated on funding, graduation requirements, music-class participation, instruction time, facilities and support for music programs.
Fairfax County has been honored with the recognition 11 times and is among 975 school districts acknowledged in 2024
