Fairfax officials to host entrepreneurship boot camp

Workshop from Economic Development Authority will be held on Sept. 4 in Tysons

The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority is seeking those who are ready to launch or grow businesses to attend the agency’s upcoming “Entrepreneurship 101: Starting a Business in Fairfax County” workshop.

The interactive session, tailored for start-up entrepreneurs who want to take their business to the next level, will be held Sept. 4 from 8 to 11 a.m. in the first-floor conference room at 8300 Boone Blvd. in Tysons.

The workshop will cover key topics such as doing business in Fairfax County; business registration; business and property taxes; financing programs; licensing and certifications; and local, state and federal business resources.
