The Wakefield High School Educational Foundation bestowed $430,000 in scholarship funds on members of the high school's Class of 2024.

Three dozen scholarships worth more than $430,000 recently were presented to Wakefield High School students through the Wakefield High School Educational Foundation.

The 2024 grants bring to just under $4.2 million the total number of scholarships bestowed by the all-volunteer, non-profit organization since 1986. More than 600 Wakefield graduates have received funding.

The 2024 scholarships range from one-time grants to $50,000 stipends. Students will attend a variety of educational institutions, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Southern California to the University of Virginia, George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College.
