The Northern Virginia Regional Commission and its partner organizations will host the third annual Northern Virginia Recreational Trails Summit with two events in early September.

The first event, which will be virtual only, will be held Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature several presentations and updates from local jurisdictions and trail organizations regarding the status of trails projects, planning, funding and mapping.

The second event will be held in-person Sept. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lubber Run Community Center, 300 N. Park Drive in Arlington. The gathering will feature a networking breakfast, plus interactive panel discussions on local, regional and state trails planning.

Owing to venue capacity, the second event will allow a maximum admission of 100 people, but there will be a waitlist.
