Arlington officers kept busy with a number of burglary cases

Arlington police recently investigated three burglary cases, making an arrest in one of them.

• Sometime between Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. and Sept. 6 at 10 a.m., a suspect or suspects entered a secure room of a residential building in the 1500 block of South George Mason Drive, entered multiple storage area, rummaged through the interior and caused property damage, Arlington police said.

No items were reported stolen, police said.

• On Sept. 6 at 2:58 p.m., a man forced entry to a vacant home in the 200 block of North Thomas Street and caused property damage, Arlington police said.

The suspect fled when the homeowner arrived on scene.

The suspect is described as a black mail, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a green shirt, khaki pants and a bandana.

• On Sept. 10 at 6:27 p.m., a man allegedly forced entry into a vacant unit at a residential building in the 1800 block of North Quinn Street, Arlington police said.

Responding officers established a perimeter, searched the apartment, located the suspect and detained him without incident.

The suspect – 29-year-old Naomi Spruill of no fixed address – was arrested and charged with unlawful entry. He was held without bond.
