Arlington arrests up in April, but down year-to-date

Despite upward movement in April, year-to-date arrests across Arlington are running below 2023 figures, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

A total of 292 arrests (277 adults plus 15 juveniles) were made in April countywide, according to police data.

That’s up from 276 (266 + 10) a year ago and up from the 218 (210 + 8) recorded in April 2022.

For the first four months of the year, arrests in Arlington totaled 1,019 (948 + 71), compared to 1,074 (1,004 + 70) during the same period in 2023 and 859 (835 + 24) in 2022.
