Vienna resident Katie Pounder recently finished a solid college career in women's ice hockey.

Vienna resident Katie Pounder recently finished a productive career for the Lebanon Valley College women’s ice hockey team.

During her five-season career with the squad, she played in 103 games, scored 15 goals, had 13 assists, 28 points and took 223 shots. Pounder scored four game-winning goals.

In her graduate-school final season this past winter, Pounder skated in 22 games and recorded five points on four goals and one assist. She took 56 shots and won 158 faceoffs.

She was one of five Lebanon Valley players to be named an All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association for the 2023-24 school year.

Pounder, a high-school graduate of Pilot Mound School in Canada, received a master of science degree in clinical mental health counseling from the college.
