On Aug. 16 at 1:25 a.m., a Vienna police officer observed a man stumbling in a parking lot in the 500 block of Church Street, N.E. The man almost fell into the nearby creek, Vienna police said.
Officers interacted with the man and detected signs of intoxication. The 51-year-old McLean man was issued a summons charging drunk in public and released on his signature.
A friend of the man came to the scene and transported the individual home.
