Runners can register through Oct. 2 for the McLean 5K Race, which will be held Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. Runners will start and finish at the the McLean Square Shopping Center, 6631 Old Dominion Drive.
The race will benefit the McLean Community Foundation, which supports McLean charitable initiatives ranging from fire trucks to playgrounds to social services.
Registration costs $40 through Aug. 31, $45 from Sept. 1 through Oct. 2 and $50 on Oct. 4 (packet pickup at the Old Firehouse Center, 1440 Chain Bridge Road) and Oct. 5 (race day).
