Police: Arrests made among members of retail-theft crew

Three New York residents being held without bond after Sept. 1 incident, police say

Three individuals from New York were taken into custody Sept. 1 by Fairfax County police in connection with a retail-theft crew allegedly responsible for more than 20,000 in stolen merchandise.

Around 3:30 p.m., officers with the department’s Tysons Urban Team responded to the 8300 block of Leesburg Pike in Tysons for a larceny. Detectives located three suspects and took them into custody. The crew was found to be in possession of over $1,700 worth of stolen merchandise, police said.

A search of the suspects’ vehicle and hotel room revealed an additional $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise from stores, police said.

Arrested, charged with various offenses and held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center were 50-year-old Henry Rozo-Olarte, 55-year-old Maria Garcia-Casallas and 42-year-old Angelica Velasquez Grajales, all of New York.
