Organizers of the 2024 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics are anticipating large participation numbers for the competition, which will run Sept. 14-29 at venues across the region.
Registration for the competition will open July 1 and run through Aug. 29.
New this year: An electronic-timing system will be introduced for the track events, to be held the opening day of the competition at Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington, which also will provide the backdrop for opening ceremonies.
The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics is sponsored by Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William counties and the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax. For information, see the Website at www.nvso.us.
