DETAILS OF McLEAN INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVITIES ANNOUNCED: The McLean Community Center’s annual Independence Day fireworks celebration will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Langley High School.

“The whole family will enjoy music, food trucks, giveaways and, at dusk, a huge fireworks display,” center officials said.

The rain date is Sunday, June 30.

Admission is free. A limited amount of on-site parking will be available, and there will be shuttle-bus service provided to the venue.

MCC’S ‘SUMMER SUNDAY’ CONCERT SERIES TO BEGIN: The McLean Community Center’s Summer Sunday Concerts in the Park festivities kick off Sunday, June 16 at 4 p.m. with a performance by the DMV Fam-Jam All-Stars.

The troupe features three popular, family-friendly local performers: Uncle Devin, Ms. Niki and Groovy Nate.

The concert will be held at Lewinsville Park, 1659 Chain Bridge Road. Admission is free.

Upcoming concerts, all held at Lewinsville Park beginning at 4 p.m., include Elena Moon Park and Friends (June 23), and Backtrack Vocals (June 30).
