Barbara Humpton, president and CEO of Siemens, will deliver the main address during George Mason University's spring commencement ceremony, Mason officials announced.
The event is slated for Thursday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at EagleBank Arena on the university's Fairfax campus.
At Siemens since 2011, Humpton guides the technology company’s strategy and engagement in the U.S. She previously served as president and CEO of Siemens Government Technologies, and earlier was as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin.
In addition to the main commencement ceremony, individual schools and programs within the university will hold their own events in early May. For full details, see the Website at https://www.gmu.edu/
Approximately 11,000 degree-earning students were recognized at the spring 2023 commencement ceremony. The university also holds a commencement event each December.
