Northern Virginia could see a double-whammy, with two days topping out above 90 degrees this week before moderating influences cool things down.

The GazetteLeader's weather partner, AccuWeather, is forecasting a high of 91 degrees and humid on Monday [4/29], with the temperature topping out at 90 on Tuesday before "a couple of afternoon showers and a thunderstorm; gusty winds and small hail can accompany any thunderstorm."

The remainder of the week likely will see temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s in the afternoons.
