Holy Mackerels win again, first in Red Division with 2-0 record

In the Colonial Swimming League in June 24 action, the Knights of Columbus Holy Mackerels defeated the host Cascades Rapids, 259-192, to remain in first place in the Red Division with a 2-0 record, and the Fort Myers Squids lost in a White Division meet to the host South Riding Stingrays, 230-221, to fall to 0-2.

The Holy Mackerels won 29 races in the meet, including eight relays.

For the team, Will Coleman, Mac Marsh, Kasper Parfomak and Sedona Springer won four races each. Azmera Gebre and Walker Moore were triple winners. Double winners were Jack Riccio and Danny Duffy. Single winners were Julia Fairchild, Tommy Coleman, and Summer Springer.

Sedona Springer lowered her girls 8-under breaststroke team record to 22.94.

* For Fort Myer in its meet, Paxton Nguyen-Viet and Diego Ramos were triple race winners. Double winners were Daniel Ramos, Zachary Berner, Desmond Browne, Cole Evans, Gretchen Everling and Sasha Taylor. Winning one race each were Drew Loughry, Harrison Holt, Grayson Sinder, Willa McCarthy, Clara McCarthy, Evelyn Logsdon, Maya Ramos and Gabrielle Browne.
