Former DSA at W-L, longtime Wakefield contributor honored

Former Washington-Liberty High School director of student activities Carol Callaway and longtime Wakefield High School contributor Frank Haddock recently were recognized with Regional Merit Awards by the Virginia High School League. Callaway retired from that position halfway through the 2022-23 school year. She was a coach of various sports prior to getting into athletic administration.. Haddock has worn many sports hats for decades at Wakefield. He has been a scorekeeper, announcer and statistician for various varsity sports teams, and is the school’s unofficial and highly accurate sports historian and record keeper. The two received their awards during a recent luncheon with many athletic and other school administrators from schools in Northern Virginia.
