Arlington Public Schools has set its schedule for high-school graduations, which will be held in person but also available online.

Live-stream options have been offered some years and not offered others over the past decade, but “it’s something I’m committed to long-term,” Superintendent Francisco Durán told School Board members on May 11.

“Last year, we had over 20,000 families from all over the world who were able to watch,” Durán said. “It’s great.”

Arlington’s three primary high schools will hold commencement ceremonies on June 15 at D.A.R. Constitution Hall: 10 a.m. for Washington-Liberty High School, 3 p.m. for Yorktown High School and 7:30 p.m. for Wakefield High School. Other school programs will hold ceremonies from June 9 to 16, most in the auditoriums at H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program and Washington-Liberty.

In addition to the live-streaming online, the ceremonies can be watched on the school system’s channels on Verizon and Comcast cable.

“We can’t wait to celebrate our Class of 2023,” Durán said.
