Police: Verbal dispute at intersection escalates to robbery

Suspect remains at large; no injuries reported in July 2 case

On July 2 at 12:54 p.m., two men were stopped in their vehicles at a stop sign in the vicinity of Key Boulevard and North Nash Street when they become involved in a verbal dispute, Arlington police said.

The suspect exited his vehicle, threw a can at the victim, reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole his phone, police said. The suspect then re-entered his vehicle and fled the scene, police said.

No injuries were reported.

After the victim flagged down an officer, a lookout was broadcast. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect, yielding negative results.

The suspect is described as a black male with facial hair wearing a brown shirt and gray pants, driving a light-colored SUV.
