On Aug. 18 at 2:04 a.m., a patrol officer in the 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard was approached by a witness who reported observing a man carrying a firearm while running from the area, Arlington police said.
A lookout was broadcast and a responding officer located and detained a person matching the suspect’s description in the area of Washington Boulevard and North Hudson Street. During the investigation, authorities recovered a firearm, police said.
The suspect – 21-year-old August Lomonaco of the District of Columbia – was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing, police said.
