Onset of autumn puts craft shows in spotlight

Several major shows are coming to Arlington in coming weeks

Several major craft shows will be coming to Arlington in coming weeks. Among them:

• The Woman’s Club of Arlington will host its annual craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the organization’s clubhouse, 700 South Buchanan St.

“Come do your holiday shopping, enjoy some lunch or baked goods, or take part in some of our raffles,” organizers said.

Admission is free. Selling spaces are available at $50 each and can be obtained by contacting Maryann Mayhood at [email protected].

• The Dominion Hills Fall Craft Show celebrates its 20th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dominion Hills Recreation Center, 6000 Wilson Blvd.

A dozen fine-art and craft vendors will offer holiday shoppers the best in local art, including jewelry, pottery, glass, abstract and landscape paintings, polymer clay, artisan chocolates, wood working, handknits, bookmaking, bath and body products, coiled baskets and more.
