The Arlington County government will host an online meeting to update the public on deer-management plans on Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m.
At the meeting, the project team will share a short presentation about the project and draft recommendations for deer management in Arlington. A discussion will follow.
Those proposals focus largely on using sharpshooters starting around the start of 2026 to begin culling the number of white-tailed deer in the county. The recommendation has been met with a mixed response in the community, and seems somewhat at variance with local sentiment reported in a survey conducted by the county government.
