There were no injuries, but a lack of care in handling fireworks on July 5 caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to a building in the 2200 block of Shirlington Road, Arlington County Fire Department officials said.
The fire was caused by fireworks striking at or near the building, fire officials said on July 8. The fire was quickly extinguished, with no injuries reported.
