Ol’ Saint Nick is busy this time of year, but not too busy to check in with Arlington youth.
Through a partnership with the county’s Department of Parks and Recreation, Santa and his helpers will be accepting letters from children through Dec. 23 at special mailboxes located outside the Gulf Branch and Long Branch nature centers.
“Santa wants to hear from you!” Arlington officials said. “Letters received by Dec. 18 will get a [return] postcard from Santa – be sure to include your home address so Santa knows where to send it.”
Next to the mailboxes are donation boxes collecting canned food for the Arlington Food Assistance Center.
