The Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) has announced a new name: True Ground Housing Partners.

The name reflects the organization’s broader geographic scope and its emphasis on a full range of services for those who call its properties home, said Carmen Romero, the organization’s president/CEO.

“Our new name builds on our legacy to reflect the full breadth of what we do, and what we hope to build in the future,” she said. “What’s not changing is what our organization stands for – our passionate staff and resident-centered communities remain the same.”

As APAH, the organization grew from a modest start to provide housing in 2,800 apartments across 23 properties in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Montgomery counties. Another 1,400 units are under construction or in pre-development in those jurisdiction and in the District of Columbia.

“We will continue to advocate for bold and inclusive policies” to help address housing-affordability issues, Romero said.
