Blood supplies remain a critically important resource for the local community, so the McLean Volunteer Fire Department has teamed up with Inova Blood Donor Services for a blood drive on July 28 from 1 to 5:30 p.m., in the lower parking lot of the fire station, located at 1455 Laughlin Ave. in McLean.

Organizers ask that people not sign up or plan to donate if they are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, as identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For more information, go to www.cdc.gov.
