Shouse Village wins a second straight division swim title

Championship was 10th for the Sharks in program history

For the second straight summer, Vienna’s Shouse Village Sharks won a division championship in the Northern Virginia Swimming League.

This year, the Sharks won the Division 12 crown with 4-1 record. That came on the heels of a Division 14 title with a 5-0 mark in 2023. Overall, the team has won 10 division championships in program history.

Shouse Village capped the 2024 regular season with a 238-182 home victory over Rolling Valley of Springfield. Shouse won its final three meets, after losing to Poplar Tree, 217-203, in week two.

Double-race winners for Shouse Village against Rolling Valley were Edward Coleman, Maxwell Thompson and Evelyn Coleman. They were top swimmers for the team all season.

Among other top swimmers for the team this season were Theo Mathias, Declan Redfern, Atlas Easley, Nicholas Alexandrescu, Dylan Riihimaki, Rafiq Williams, Charles Williams, Jack Wagner, Kyle Armstrong, Ryan Chen, Alexander Coultas, Blake Thompson, Isabella Intravaia, Stella Thompson, Katherine Alexandrescu, Emma Judkins, Amelia Erwin, Katelyn Armstrong, Caroline Erwin, Teresa Yoshihara, Meave Williams, Allele Li-Fang and Dorothy Yoshihara.
