Led by eight double-race winners, the Oakton Otters defeated the McLean Marlins, 249-171, in Northern Virginia Swimming League Division 2 action June 22 to improve to 2-0 and extend their three-season unbeaten streak to nine straight matches. Oakton was 5-0 and the Division 4 champion last summer.
Those double winners were Camilla Warren, Audrey Hammond, Anna Roth, Aubrey Swanson, Nicolette Adair, Beau Souders, Brady Schneider and Nolan Sanglier. Single winners for Oakton were Mason Kaplan, Finn Bradley, Ethan Sanglier, Colin Wolf, Ryan Emerick, Ethan Piccolo, Charlotte Lim, Chelsea McLenahan, Grace Whittington and Laura Roth.
For McLean in the loss, double winners were Caroline Wager, Owen Zhou, Emily Lipsey and Nathan Lee. Single winners were Sinclair Holguin, Kate Shumate, Henry Weeks, Daniel Vladimiroff, Jacob Bowes and Nathalie Thomas.
* In Division 5 of week-two NVSL action, the Cardinal Hills Cardinals improved to 2-0 with a 214-205 road victory over South Run, after finishing 0-5 in Division 3 last summer.
Double race-winners for Cardinal Hill were Kayden Chen, Emmett Sanderson, Patrick Manley, Ziva McHenry and Anika Patel. Single winners were Oliver Jahshan, Fiona Antoniuk, Gabriel Joffee, Eric Chen, Emmett Schreckhise, Keenan Shora, Megan Dean, Margot Jue, Mishi Roper, Brooklyn Brabender and Max Ma.

In June 22 meets, Kent Gardens defeated Mantua, 267.5-152.5, Tuchahoe downed Old Keen Mill, 264-156, Chesterbrook topped Highlands Swim, 251-169, and Overlee defeated Donaldson Run (0-2), 264-156.
For Kent Gardens, double winners were Teagan King, Caroline King, Hadley Nguyen, Sloane Nguyen, Leo Wu, Aaron Kuang, Andy Li and Sophie Fredericks. Single winners were Nora Jia, Aaron Jia, Gloria Kuang, Emma Bui, Felix Charpentier, Lilia Buonforte, Bryson Hylton, Sully Yoo, Libby Bamberger, Brooks Bamberger and Kate Li.
