Langley, Great Falls swimming teams among week-two winners

Both summer squads even records at 1-1 with the victories

In a Northern Virginia Swimming League Division 2 meet, the Langley Wildthings (1-1) defeated the High Point Hippos, 232-187, June 22.

Double winners for Langley were Bryce Eaton, Celina Feng, Shoshana Feng, Ella Mueller and Evan Paulos. Single winners were John Alms, Avery Batter, Tessa Jones, Christian Kim, Cameron Morris, Divya Pai, Henry Rossman, Luca Sanchez, Molly Sullivan, Kira Thornton, Evelyn Volovar, Marina Watson, Marigold Yu and Felix Yu.

* In an NVSL Division 6 match June 22, the Hunter Mill Sharks (0-2), lost to Poplar Heights, 232-186.

Double winners for Hunter Mill were Beckett Candela, Elyse Rosade, Andrew Rose and Alexandra Samsot. Single winners were Sarah Djoubrailov, Hunter Guthrie, Sydney Guthrie, Adrienne Jenks, Summer Padilla, Andrew Reiley, Elyse Rosade, Andrew Rose, Abigail Roth, Charles Stipanovic and Archie Trudel.

* In NVSL Division 12 action June 22, the Great Falls Rapids (1-1) downed Rolling Valley, 213-204.

Double winners for the Rapids were Benjamin Bertin, Katelyn Rolph, Sutton Pierson, Sophia Sandstrom and Jenna Wang. Single winners were Luke Beslic, Kyla Blayney, Sophia Daniels, Scarlet Dastur, Evelyn Sanders, Juliana Strom and Ari Wiley-Jimenez.

* In other NVSL meets June 22 involving local teams, the Hamlet Green Feet (0-2) lost to Little Rocky Run, 232.5-186.5, in Division 3; in Division 4 the Vienna Aquatic Club Gators (0-2) fell to Orange Hunt, 245.5-174.5, and Vienna Woods (1-1) was nipped by Little Hunting Park, 210.5-209.5; in Division 6, the Dunn Loring Dolphins (0-2) lost to Fairfax, 233-183; the Lakevale Estates Dolphins (0-2) lost to Ravensworth Farm, 26-174, in Division 8; and the Shouse Village Sharks (1-1) were defeated by Poplar Tree, 217-203, in Division 12.
