An employee at Carnegie Diner, 501 Maple Ave., W., told Vienna police on June 28 at 9:45 p.m. that a woman had entered the diner through the rear door and begun acting disorderly. The woman allegedly assaulted three employees while using racial slurs towards them, police said.

Police arrested the 41-year-old Vienna woman and transported her to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged her with one count of simple assault and two counts of simple assault with bias. She was held without bond.

The woman also was banned from the diner and police advised her she would be arrested if she returned to the premises.
