It'll be a toasty and roasty Fourth of July on Thursday, with the potential of significant storms across Northern Virginia.

"Hot with intervals of clouds and sun; a heavy thunderstorm in the afternoon; outdoor plans can be impacted," notes the GazetteLeader's official weather partner, AccuWeather.

July 4 also will bring back a string of 90-degree days after a brief respite. Items of note: Friday night will be very warm and humid; Saturday could bring more storminess.
