The legal-services contract and rates for Vienna Town Attorney Steven Briglia’s law firm have seen only minor adjustments in recent years, but the Vienna Town Council changed that situation July 8.

The Council voted unanimously to increase the payment to the town attorney’s law firm of Briglia and Hundley, PC, by 8.2 percent for a total of up to $395,000 in fiscal 2025.

That amount is broken down into legal services ($225,000), prosecution services ($100,000) and supplemental legal services ($70,000).

The firm provides multiple legal services to the town, including including general-counsel work, litigation monitoring, General District Court prosecution services and other as-needed legal functions.
