Vienna police officers on June 6 at 3:43 p.m. stopped an ice-cream truck in the 400 block of Ayr Hill Avenue, N.E., because of a violation of the town’s noise ordinance.

Upon inspection, police discovered that the truck’s tags had expired and the driver lacked the mandatory Vienna solicitor’s permit.

The driver agreed to stop operating the truck and return it to the depot until he gets the necessary permit and updates the vehicle’s registration.
