Thieves at Vienna Wawa get off relatively lightly

Officers called after trio took alcohol, other drinks from store
police

On Sept. 14 at 9 p.m., an employee of Wawa in the 400 block of Maple Avenue, W., stopped three individuals who had taken items from the store and left without paying, Arlington police said.

One of the individuals was over 18 and had taken two bottles of alcohol; he returned the alcohol to the employee, town police said. Two juveniles paid the employee for the non-alcoholic drinks they had taken.

A responding officer issues a summons charging each of the individuals with petty larceny. The adult was released on his signature while the juveniles were released to their parents. All three were trespassed from the store, police said.
