• The following local residents earned degrees during recent commencement exercises at the University of Wisconsin-Madison:

> From McLean: Alia Wilson earned a doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Brandon Liao earned a bachelor of science degree in computer sciences. Lucy Dubois earnded a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Erin Schlegel earned a  bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering, Samantha Wayne earned a bachelor of arts degree in legal studies and sociology.

> From Vienna: Sydney Bamdad earned a bachelor of business administration degree. Olivia Garrett earned a bachelor of arts degree in sociology. Yifan Jia earned a bachelor of science degree in global health, with distinction. Cole Remy earned a bachelor of business administration degree.  Brendan Wheeler earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering.

Robert Hage, the son of Nabil and Diana Hage of Great Falls, earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics and Emily Martens, the daughter of Matthew and Wendy Martens of Vienna, earned a bachelor of science in health sciences, magna cum laude, during recent commencement exercises at Furman University.

Jonathan Brinkmiller of Oakton earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering during recent commencement exercises at the University of New Jersey.

Ben Meyers of McLean earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics, summa cum laude, during recent commencement exercises at Tufts University.

Keira O’Neail of Vienna has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Xaviera Schrader of Vienna, Natalie DeChristopher of Vienna and Amelia Smith of Great Falls have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Tampa.

Ethan Choi of Tysons, Alexa Fretwell of McLean and Mathieu Jugnet of Vienna have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Seton Hall University.

Tarika Dhillon of McLean, Kevin Hu of Great Falls, Grace Lee of McLean, Yvonne Lopez Davila of Vienna and Emily Raman of McLean have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Tufts University.
