Rash of thefts from vehicles continue to plague Vienna

Three incidents reported by town police over past week

Vienna police during a recent 24-hour period investigated break-ins of multiple vehicles, some of which resulted in thefts of credit cards, cash and a driver’s license.

• One incident occurred in the 700 block of Meadow Lane, S.W., between June 22 at 5 p.m. and June 23 at 12:45 p.m. A resident reported someone had rummaged through his vehicle, stolen his credit card and made several unauthorized purchases using the stolen card.

• Another break-in took place in the 500 block of Adelman Circle, S.W., between June 22 at 11 p.m. and June 23 at 5:30 p.m. A resident reported someone had rummaged through his three vehicles and stolen U.S. currency, a credit card and a driver’s license.

• The third incident happened in the 500 block of Stephen Circle, S.W., on June 23 between midnight and 1:20 a.m. A resident told police someone had gone through his two locked vehicles, but nothing appeared to have been taken.
