A Vienna police officer on June 29 at 8:43 p.m. served an emergency protective order on a woman in the 300 block of Lawyers Road, N.W., which had been obtained by her tenant.

At 11:54 p.m. that same night, the tenant reported her landlord allegedly had come into her area of the home and begun harassing her, police said.

The tenant reportedly assaulted the landlord, causing injury to her face and head, authorities said.

Rescue personnel responded to treat the landlord’s injuries, but she reportedly became combative with the officers and rescue personnel. Rescue workers transported the landlord to an area hospital by rescue personnel with an officer escorting them, as she allegedly continued to act aggressively.

Police arrested the tenant, a 61-year-old woman, and transported her to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged her with malicious wounding.

Police obtained warrants for the landlord and served them to her the following day when she was released from the hospital. Police arrested the 65-year-old woman and took her to Adult Detention Center.

The landlord faces six felony counts of assault on a police officer, obstruction of justice and violation of an emergency protective order.
