A male resident told Vienna police on Nov. 6 at 1:18 p.m. that a friend had asked him to meet her and walk on the Washington and Old Dominion Regional Trail.
The friend led the resident to a secluded area of Northside Park near the 600 block of Glyndon Street, N.E., where another acquaintance of the pair allegedly jumped from behind a bush and physically assaulted the resident, causing a minor injury.
The resident declined to press any charges and police advised all the parties to avoid contact with each other.
