Police investigate 'bias material' incident in Wolf Trap area

Officers and detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s McLean District Station are investigating numerous reports of suspicious fliers portraying what police described as bias material distributed in a Wolf Trap neighborhood near Vienna, police said Oct. 13.

Officers are canvassing the area and asking community members to review home-surveillance footage, police said.

Surveillance footage can be posted for detectives to view via Neighbors by Ring, which can be accessed at ring.com/neighbors. Police ask anyone with information about this case to call the McLean District Station at (703) 556-7750. Fairfax County police have increased patrols and visibility around the county’s houses of worship and reached out to many faith-based communities. While there currently is no specific threat within the  community, police continue to collect additional information about this incident and will maintain a presence to support the faith-based community.
