Residents at two houses in the 100 block of Melody Lane, S.W., informed Vienna police on July 1 at 3:38 p.m. that a man had been on their rear decks, pulling on their doors and attempting to enter the houses.
Officers searched the area for the man, but did not locate him.
Officers at 4:41 p.m. that same afternoon responded to an additional complaint in the 800 block of Cottage Street, S.W., regarding the man from the previous incidents, who allegedly had been approaching houses. Police located the man in the 700 block of Plum Street, S.W., where a resident was requesting the man leave the property.
Upon interacting with the man, police reportedly detected signs of both alcohol and narcotic impairment, police said. Rescue personnel responded to assess the man when he began complaining of pain.
Due to the level of intoxication, rescue workers transported the man to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
