The Providence District supervisor’s office invites the public to attend an early Earth Day celebration on Friday, April 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Providence Community Center, 3001 Vaden Drive in the Vienna area.
“Spend the day honoring and learning about Earth and the many ways in which the public can support and protect the environment,” organizers said.
On hand will be Providence Community Center staff, former tree commissioner Laura Beaty and representatives from the Fairfax County Park Authority, Merrifield Garden Center, Citizens Climate Lobby, Green Springs Gardens and other organizations.
This event will also kick off the diaper drive at the facility, which will run through May 26.
