Yorktown grad completes accomplished college lacrosse career

Yorktown High School graduate Emma Hutchison finished her college lacrosse career this spring for the Kenyon College women's team.

Yorktown High School graduate Emma Hutchison recently completed her women’s lacrosse career with Division III Kenyon College.

Hutchison started in 42 straight games since 2021 and capped her senior season with first-team all-conference and first-team all-region honors.

Hutchison led the Kenyon defense, which ranked 19th nationally in goals allowed. As a defender, Hutchison did not score a lot, but she did tally three goals this past season and took 12 shots.

She gather 32 ground balls, which were the third most on the team. Hutchison scored 15 goals as a junior with four assists and took 43 shots.

Overall, she scored 22 career goals at Kenyon with five assists, taking 69 shots.

Kenyon finished 34-4 over the past two seasons, the best seasons in program history. The team two straight conference championships and made two straight NCAA Division III tournament appearances, reaching the Sweet 16 round in 2022 and 2023.

Kenyon also achieved its first Division III national ranking in 2023, finishing 21st in one poll.
