Wade Bringham pitched another strong game for Wakefield in its shutout of Langley.

With another strong combined pitching performance, the Wakefield Warriors recorded their second straight shutout in baseball action.

The latest win was a 6-0 road victory over the Langley Saxons. That followed a 3-0 blanking of the Marshall Statesmen. Both were Liberty District high-school contests, as the Warriors (10-8 overall) stand 6-4 in the league.

Against Langley, right-hander Wade Bringham started and pitched six innings and Mason Bull worked the seventh in relief.

Bull also belted a sixth-inning grand slam. Charlie Grove had a first-inning RBI single to score Peter Boerstling, who had two hits along with Grove.

Also with two hits each were Keegan Mahoney and Mike Duncan.

Mahoney started and threw five innings against Marshall and Bull finished in relief. Mahoney fanned six, walked one and allowed four hits. Mahoney also had a hit and two RBI. Boerstling had two hits and an RBI and Grove, Bringham and Duncan each had a hit each.

Following the win over Langley, Wakefield topped the host Washington-Liberty Generals, 4-2, in an all-Arlington clash to upped its winning streak to three and remain in third place in the district with two games to play.

Two Wakefield pitchers, starter Dane Berkley and reliever Graham Wiggins combined for a two-hitter. Wiggins got the win, striking out four in two innings of work. He allowed no runs or hits

Bull led the hitting with two doubles and three RBI. Mahoney also doubled and Duncan and Beau Branch each had two hits.
