Seven W-L student-athletes participate in signing ceremony

Seniors will play various sports at the next level

Seven Washington-Liberty High School senior student-athletes were on hand for a college signing ceremony.

Seven standout senior athletes from Washington-Liberty High School were present for a recent ceremony at the school to sign national letters of intent to play college sports during the 2023-24 season.

Rebecca Estevao will row for the Georgetown University women’s team and Julia Brodsky will do the same at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jackson Broadwell and JoJo Suvula each will play football at Shenandoah University.

Ian Naff will be on the men’s track and field team at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Anthony Ceballos-Medina will play men’s soccer at Ferrum College.

Brian Weiser will play men’s basketball at Christopher Newport University, which will be the defending Division III NCAA defending champion entering next season.

Estevao, Naff and Weiser also recently received Sportsman of the Year awards in crew, track and field and basketball, respectively, from the Better Sports Club of Arlington during it’s recent annual banquet.
