Michayla Eisenberg finished her summer season for the Overlee pool diving team of the Northern Virginia Swimming League with a standout performance, winning all eight of the competitions she entered at the senior girls division.
Eisenberg capped her season by winning the NVSL’s individual all-star competition at Hunt Valley pool in Springfield. Her winning score was a point total of 218.7, topping runner-up Jocelyn Brooks of Kent Gardens pool with a 209.8 score.
The previous week, Eisenberg won the Division I divisional meet with a 234.6 total,and early in the season was first at the Wally Martin Memorial 3-meter (236.9).
In Overlee’s five regular-season dual meets, Eisenberg finished first in each, with a high score of 272.95.
During the 2023-24 high school season, Eisenberg was a girls conference and Division I state private-school champion for the Flint Hill School. Eisenberg will continue diving in college at Virginia Tech.
For her many accomplishments during the past year, Eisenberg earned high-school All-America one-meter diving status, as chosen by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association as a 2024 All-America diver. Other local divers chosen one-meter All-America were Brooks and Madison High’s Marleigh daSilva on the girls side and Oakton High’s Brendan Doe and Thibault Lede on the boys side.
