Three of the four Arlington teams in the Northern Virginia Swimming League won June 22 matches, the Overlee Flying Fish (2-0) and Dominion Hills Thunder Ducks (1-1) by comfortable margins. The Arlington Forest Tigers (1-1) won a close meet.
Overlee defeated Arlington's Donaldson Run Thunderbolts, 264-156, in Division 1.
After the freestyle events, Overlee was out to a 52-38 lead and on its way to victory.
Double winners for Overlee were Matt Daus, Holden Busen, Violet Mullen, Brendan Finnerty, McKinley Busen, Tyler Hong, Abigail Hartman, Sia Nicholakos, Samantha Bravery and Evan Ingraham. Single winners were Mary Pickens, Alex Bristow, Billy Weber, James Parker, Emmett Cocker, Annie Buczek, Frederick Papadopoulos, Sully Portner and Felicity Chubb.
In the 8-and-under girls backstroke, Hartman broke the Overlee team and pool record with a time of 18.98.
For Donaldson Run (0-2), Rachel Conley and Nora Sherman were double winners. Single winners were Kate Edgerton, Theo Cahill, Miles Ledford, Nora Sherman, Avery Wishneff, Alexander Redway and Charlie Greenwood.
Dominion Hills topped Waynewood, 243-177, in Division 7. Double winners for the Thunder Ducks were Andrew Aldonas, Berkeley Ryan, Alaina Desautels, Tanner Langsdale and Matild Macskasi. Single winners were Regan Geiger, Asher Langsdale, Henry Smith, James Gallagher, Pax Christiansen, Kleo Macskasi, Liam Vaughan, Jancsi Aldonas, Vivian Fatouros, Juliet Schwarz, Anna Lenard, Luca Hardin and Allie Ervin.
Arlington Forest outscored the Sully Station Super Sonic Transporters, 218-202, in Division 9.
Double winners for the Tigers were Anna Dansereau, Graham Dickey, Damien Kaczor, Jonah Mohr, Miller Mohr, Sophie-Lou Mohr, Alex Seidman and Dylan Tallis. Single winners were Sophia Cordon, Eli Martin and Natlie Sottile.
* In the top Red Division of the Colonial Swimming League in a June 22 meet, the defending champion Knights of Columbus Holy Mackerels (1-1) defeated the host Burke Centre Penguins, 286-165. The Holy Mackerels won 20 races and 10 relays.
Will Coleman was a triple winner and Aubrey Larson, William Silver and Summer Springer were double winners. Single winners were Edith Kuhlman, Tommy Coleman, Elizabeth Pilot, Savigna Neely Martin, George Giannakopoulas, James Coleman, Sedona Springer, Walker Moore, Zach Black, Jack Parker and Mary Hecmanczuk.
* In Colonial Swimming League White Division action, the Fort Myer Squids (0-2) lost to host Armfield Farm (2-0) by a 240-211 score June 22.
For Fort Myer, Culhane Harper was a triple-race winner with Zachary Berner, Aileen Kee and Evelyn Logsdon winning two each. Single winners were Jaxson Gibbs, Fincher Harper, Henry Stuek, Diego Ramos, Bruce Truong, Sasha Taylor and Caroline Libscomb.
