Two state Babe Ruth all-star baseball tournaments will be hosted by different leagues next month in Arlington.
Arlington Cal Ripken Babe Ruth will host the state tourney for 12-year-old players July 3-7 on fields No. 1 and 2 at Barcroft Park.
Arlington Senior Babe Ruth then hosts the state event for the age 14-year-old players July 12-14 on Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.
State-tournament champions earn automatic berths to advance to the Southeast Region tourneys, both in Florida this season. For 12s, the region is in St. Johns, Fla., July 16-21. For the 14s the region is in Ocala, Fla., July 23-28.
