Six student-athletes from the GazetteLeader’s coverage areas who attend Shenandoah University made the Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic team for their classroom performances during the 2023-24 college season.
From Vienna were baseball player Grady Dillon (Marshall High graduate), football player Braden Holt (Madison grad) and men’s soccer player Matthew Allen (Madison grad). From Dunn Loring was men’s lacrosse player Ryan Therkom (Marshall grad). From Arlington were football player Kevin Cruz (Washington-Liberty grad) and men’s soccer player Niclas Vavra (Yorktown grad).
